MOK Foundation Empowers 300 Kwara Students with 2024 JAMB Scholarships

In a heartwarming gesture of educational upliftment, the Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has bestowed Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) scholarships upon 300 deserving students hailing from various local government areas in Kwara State.

The executive director of the foundation, Mr. Lawal Saheed, conveyed the founder’s commitment to educational development during the official presentation in Offa on Thursday. He revealed that the scholarship initiative unfolded in two phases, commencing with 250 students and later welcoming an additional 50 beneficiaries.

Highlighting the targeted local government areas, Saheed specified Offa and Oyun, emphasizing the Foundation’s dedication to advancing education. The scholarship program, according to Saheed, is a strategic move to eliminate financial obstacles hindering talented but underprivileged students from pursuing their educational aspirations.

“Every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their background,” asserted Saheed, emphasizing the Foundation’s belief in providing equal educational opportunities.

The 300 recipients underwent a meticulous selection process, taking into account academic excellence, financial need, and a demonstrated commitment to community service.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries, Ayomide Oparinde exclaimed, “We are very happy for this scholarship provided to us by MOK Foundation, and we shall forever be grateful to them.”

Mr. Muhydeen Bammeke, Head of the Department of Humanities at the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, dispelled any notion of political affiliation concerning the foundation’s founder, portraying him as an industrious entrepreneur dedicated to accumulating wealth for societal benevolence.

Bammeke lauded MOK Foundation’s multifaceted community interventions, citing instances of free farm mechanization, covering medical bills for the less privileged, security initiatives, and various empowerment programs.

Oyawoye highlighted previous scholarship awards at Offa Grammar School, reinforcing MOK’s dedication to community betterment.

In summary, the MOK Foundation’s JAMB scholarship initiative reflects a commitment to nurturing educational growth and empowering the youth, leaving an enduring legacy of positive change in Kwara State.
