JAMB reveals exam date for 2024/2025 UTME candidates

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed the latest examination date for the 2024/2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates. According to a statement issued by JAMB on its official website, the 2024 JAMB examination will hold between 8th April 2024 and 17th April 2024. The statement also confirmed that the 2024 JAMB Form will start selling officially on www.jamb.gov.ng from 19th February 2024, and the 2024 JAMB registration will close on 18th March 2024.

However, another source has contradicted the JAMB statement and reported a different date for the 2024 JAMB examination. According to a report by Naija News, the 2024 JAMB examination will hold between 1st March 2024 and 15th March 2024. The report also claimed that the 2024 JAMB registration will start officially on www.jamb.gov.ng from 14th January 2024.

Therefore, there seems to be some confusion and inconsistency between the sources, and prospective candidates are urged to check the official website of JAMB for verification. JAMB is the body responsible for conducting the UTME, which is a requirement for admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria. The UTME is a computer-based test that evaluates candidates’ knowledge and skills in four subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and any two other subjects of their choice. Candidates are required to score at least 180 out of 400 marks to be qualified for admission into any of the participating institutions.

The JAMB exam date for 2024/2025 UTME candidates is one of the most awaited news by millions of Nigerian students who aspire to further their education in the country’s higher institutions. The news has sparked a lot of reactions on social media, as some candidates expressed their readiness, while others expressed their worries about the possible challenges and difficulties they may encounter during the examination process. Some of the common issues raised by candidates include the preparation and revision of the JAMB syllabus, the availability and affordability of the JAMB past questions and answers, the accessibility and functionality of the JAMB mock exam, the reliability and security of the JAMB network, the adequacy and quality of the JAMB centres, and the fairness and transparency of the JAMB marking scheme.
