FUOYE UTME CBT Centre Commences JAMB Registration in Ire-Ekiti

The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has added a new milestone to its academic offerings with the inauguration of the Aare Akomolafe Adebayo Computer Based Test (CBT) Centre for the United Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME). Located at the Institute of Part-Time Studies (IPTS) in Ire-Ekiti, the centre commenced operations on Friday, January 19, 2024, marking a significant leap forward for prospective candidates in the region.

Dr. Adeleke Omolade, Associate Professor of Economics and Director of the Centre for Continuing Education at FUOYE, revealed this groundbreaking development during a press briefing in Ado-Ekiti over the weekend. He expressed his excitement about the establishment of the Aare Akomolafe Adebayo CBT Centre, highlighting its crucial role in simplifying the UTME registration process for students in and around Ire-Ekiti.

The Aare Akomolafe Adebayo CBT Centre, named after its generous donor, Aare Akomolafe Adebayo, is the second UTME-accredited centre for FUOYE. Dr. Adeleke conveyed his appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof Abayomi Sunday Fasina, for his commitment to educational excellence and his instrumental role in making the UTME CBT Centre a reality.

In his statement, Dr. Adeleke encouraged prospective UTME candidates to take advantage of the newly established centre. He emphasized the convenience it brings, eliminating the need for candidates to travel to distant towns and cities for their UTME examinations.


“With the Aare Akomolafe Adebayo CBT Centre now in operation, students have a local and state-of-the-art facility for their UTME registration. We commend the visionary leadership of Prof Abayomi Sunday Fasina and the generosity of Aare Akomolafe Adebayo for making this dream a reality,” said Dr. Adeleke.

Prospective candidates were urged to register at the Aare Akomolafe Adebayo CBT Centre and leverage the numerous computer systems set up for the registration exercise.
